What Do Our Furnace and AC Maintenance Plans Include?
Best HVAC Toronto is a TSSA-certified heating and cooling contractor serving Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area, and its HVAC maintenance plans are annual preventive maintenance subscriptions for your gas furnace and central air conditioner. Each plan bundles scheduled tune-ups by gas technicians licensed by Ontario’s Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA), priority access to a crew with over 20 years of combined Ontario HVAC experience, and 10 to 20 percent off any repair work that comes up during the year. Rather than booking a tune-up when something goes wrong or paying full rate on an urgent call, plan holders receive visits on the right cadence for each season and, on the Premium plan, no diagnostic fee and 24/7 emergency response with no extra surcharge.
Three tiers are available at 2026 pricing. The Basic plan at $199 per year covers one professional tune-up annually, either a furnace tune-up in the fall or an AC tune-up in the spring, plus 10 percent off all repair calls. The Standard plan at $329 per year includes both the fall furnace tune-up and the spring AC tune-up, 15 percent off repairs, and priority scheduling over standard bookings. The Premium plan at $499 per year adds a waived diagnostic fee on every service call, a 20 percent repair discount, priority scheduling year-round, and 24/7 emergency HVAC response included in the plan price. Every tier covers Lennox, Carrier, Trane, Bosch, Napoleon, York, and other major furnace and air conditioner brands.

What happens at a tune-up visit
Both the furnace and AC tune-ups are substantive technical checks, not a quick filter swap. A furnace tune-up covers the burner assembly, heat exchanger, flame sensor, igniter, draft inducer, gas pressure, blower wheel cleaning, filter condition, and a full combustion analysis with carbon monoxide readings recorded. You receive a written safety report at the end of every visit documenting what was found and what was done.
The AC tune-up covers refrigerant pressure and charge, condenser coil cleaning, capacitor and contactor condition, thermostat calibration, electrical connection tightening, and airflow verification across the evaporator coil. Both visits also check venting and gas connections on relevant appliances and flag any safety concerns in writing before our team leaves the property.
Our crew also services hot-water boilers and cold-climate heat pumps. If your home relies on one of these instead of a forced-air furnace or central AC, tell us when you sign up and we will confirm how the seasonal visits apply to your system.
Should You Have Your Furnace and AC Serviced Every Year?
Equipment reliability when the weather is extreme
Toronto winters are hard on furnaces and Toronto summers are hard on air conditioners. The pattern we see consistently, from older detached and semi-detached homes in East York to newer townhouses in Vaughan and Markham, is that equipment fails during peak stress, not during mild weather. A furnace igniter that was marginal in October fails on a cold snap in January. A capacitor that was weakening in May fails during a July heat wave. The purpose of a fall furnace tune-up and a spring AC tune-up is to catch those borderline components before the season demands peak output from them.
Manufacturer warranty protection
Most HVAC manufacturers, including Carrier, Lennox, and Trane, require documented annual maintenance by a licensed technician as a condition of their parts warranty. Equipment installed without a service history may not be covered. Best HVAC Toronto keeps your maintenance records on file so you have the documentation you need if a warranty claim arises, which matters most on expensive components such as heat exchangers and compressors.
Catching problems before they become costly
Small faults are inexpensive to fix. Large failures are expensive. The gap between the two is usually a maintenance visit that caught the early sign. A failing capacitor costs a fraction of what a failed compressor costs. A degraded igniter costs far less than the emergency no-heat call on a winter Sunday plus the urgency premium. Plan members receive 10 to 20 percent off those repairs on top of the preventive work, which makes the plan economical well before counting the tune-up value.
Toronto HVAC Maintenance Plan Coverage Across the GTA
Our maintenance plans cover Toronto and the entire Greater Toronto Area. That includes the inner boroughs of North York, Etobicoke, Scarborough, East York, and York, as well as Mississauga, Brampton, Vaughan, Woodbridge, Thornhill, Markham, Richmond Hill, Aurora, Newmarket, Oakville, Burlington, Milton, Ajax, Pickering, Whitby, and Oshawa.
Plans suit detached and semi-detached houses, townhouses, rental properties, and condo units that have their own furnace, air handler, or heat pump. Many Toronto high-rise condos are instead heated and cooled by in-suite fan coil units or water-source heat pumps connected to a central building boiler and cooling tower, and those are often serviced under the condo corporation’s maintenance program, so call us to confirm whether a plan fits your suite.
For GTA homeowners, the priority scheduling benefit has the most practical value during two peak periods: late September and October for pre-heating season furnace tune-ups, and April and May for pre-cooling season AC checks. Both periods fill quickly. Standard and Premium plan holders are booked ahead of the queue, which means your fall furnace tune-up is completed before the cold snaps arrive and your spring AC check is done before the first Environment Canada heat warning of the season.
Premium plan holders also receive 24/7 emergency HVAC response included at no extra charge. For households with aging equipment or a property with tenants, that coverage is the plan’s most tangible protection: no-heat and no-AC calls are dispatched immediately around the clock, and the $0 diagnostic fee on every service call means there is no hesitation in picking up the phone when something feels off.
How Do You Sign Up and Book Your First Tune-Up?
Signing up takes a single call. Contact Best HVAC Toronto at 647-254-4113, let us know which plan you want and what equipment you have, and we will schedule your first tune-up at a time that suits you. If you are unsure which plan fits, the Standard plan covers the most common needs: both seasonal tune-ups, priority scheduling, and a meaningful repair discount. Upgrading to Premium at any point during the year is prorated from the upgrade date, so you only pay the difference going forward.
Our TSSA-certified team brings the diagnostic equipment and common service parts on every maintenance visit. We do not rush these calls. You get a thorough inspection, a written safety report, and an honest conversation about what the equipment needs and what it does not need.
